Xinyu Steel’s EQ70 structural steel approved by three classification societies

Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xinyu Iron and Steel Group (Xinyu Steel) has announced that its EQ70 grade structural steel for application in marine environments has been approved by classification societies Det Norske Veritas (DNV), China Classification Society (CCS) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

EQ70 is a super-high-strength quenched and tempered steel grade. It is used in offshore drilling platforms, shipping marine engineering and in hull structural projects.
