Wuhan Steel increases 2005 production target

Wuhan Steel Processing Co., a subsidiary of state-owned Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Corp., increased its steel production target for 2005. According to a company statement, Wuhan Steel Processing will better its original 2005 target of 680'000 tons of steel plates by 20'000 tons. Furthermore, the company will produce an additional 200'000 tons of cold-rolled steel products and 5'000 - 21'000 tons more carbon steel products this year.
