WTO rules against US in OCTG case

In the report released by the World Trade Organization on the case regarding oil country tubular goods (OCTG) imported from Argentina, the WTO's Appellate Body recommends that the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) request the United States to bring its measures into conformity with its obligations under Antidumping Agreement. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the case was taken to WTO as a dispute emerged between the US and Argentina as a result of the duties imposed on OCTG imported from Argentina by the US. The antidumping duty order on OCTG from Argentina was published on August 11, 1995. As a result of the review conducted by DOC, the continuation of the anti-dumping duty order was decided to be effective as of July 25, 2001.
