WISCO establishes overseas mineral resource unit

Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation (WISCO) has announced the official establishment of its overseas mineral resource operating unit, adding that it is eyeing an eventual listing on the stock exchange for the unit.
 
WISCO also stated that its overseas mineral asset resources now total tens of billions of metric tons, making it the biggest mineral resource owner among global steel producers.
 
The establishment of the mineral resource operating unit is mainly aimed at integrating WISCO's eight principal overseas mining programs.
