Vyksa Steel Works issues January-April production results

Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has announced its production results for April and for the first four months of the current year.


Accordingly, in January-April Vyksa Steel Works' output of steel tubes exceeded 603,000 mt, including 363,000 mt of large diameter tubes. In April alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 157,500 mt of steel tubes, including 90,000 mt of large diameter tubes, which is at the same level as in April 2010.


In the first four months of 2011, Vyksa Steel Works increased its output of railway wheels by 30.5 percent year on year to 270,300 wheels. In April this year, Vyksa Steel Works produced 67,700 railway wheels, up four percent compared to April 2010.


Market sources state that the rise in production of railway wheels in 2011 is supported by the implementation of the contract with Vyksa Steel Works' key partner - Russian Railways.
