The Russian pipe producer Vyksa Steel Works (Vyksa), a part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), has began the construction of its two new anticorrosive coating lines for pipes of diameters up to 1,420mm. As SteelOrbis reported in October 2006, Vyksa concluded an agreement with Dutch Selmers Technology B.V for the supply of Euro 17 million-worth of equipment necessary for the lines. The designed capacity of the two new lines is 950,000 mt per year.
