Vladivostok port handles trial consignment of HR plates

The Russian commercial port of Vladivostok has started operations with new types of goods, handling a trial consignment of 814,143 mt of import hot rolled steel plates of 12 x 4.5 meters and of seven mt weight each.
 
The HR steel plates in question are produced in South Korea and will be used for the production of large diameter pipes. The HR steel plates are soon due to be loaded on specialized flatcars and delivered to one of the Russian pipemaking plants.

The short-term plans of the commercial port of Vladivostok are to switch from handling trial consignments of hot rolled steel plates to cargo handling on a regular basis.
