Workers at Venezuelan state-run iron ore producer CVG Ferrominera Orinoco reportedly went on strike last week, according to local media reports. Ferrominera did not return a request for comment.

A media report by Correo del Caroni said protesters ask for better wages. The strike affected Ferrominera’s San Isidro, Los Barrancos, Cerro Bolivar and Altamira mines.
