Brazilian miner and iron ore producer Vale said this week it plans to recover 44 million mt in capacity that is currently halted by 2021.

The estimate was unveiled to investors this week. It assumes a full-year of activities at its Vargem Grande, Fábrica and Timbopeba mines, and also considers the Brucutu mine would be able to resume at full capacity.

Vale also unveiled a guidance for 2022. It said it expects to produce between 390 and 400 million mt of iron ore by the end of that year.
