Brazilian miner and iron ore producer Vale was awarded stability certificates for 82 dams, the company said on Tuesday.

Vale said another 18 dams did not obtain a stability certificate, also known as the stability condition declaration (DCE).

Vale said three dams improved their conditions and now have a stability certificate in the second half (H2) of the year, as compared to H1 2019: the No. 5 dam (Águas Claras mine), the Taquaras dam (Mar Azul mine), and the Pondes de Reijeitos dam (Igarapé Bahia mine).

Vale said it has not changed its forecast for iron ore sales in 2019 due to the dams that did not obtain the certificate.
