Usiminas officially appoints CEO, other executives

Brazilian flats steelmaker Usiminas announced in a recent general meeting that it has officially appointed new executives, who were initially nominated in late March.

Sergio Leite was named the company’s CEO. Newly appointed company vice presidents include:

  • Alberto Akikazu Onu, finance and investor relations VP
  • Tulio Cesar do Couto Chipoletti, industrial director VP
  • Takahiro Mori, corporate planning VP
  • Kohei Kimura, quality and technology VP
  • Miguel Angel Homes Camejo, commercial VP

All executives will assume the roles until 2020.

The company added that Mori and Leite will assume Kimura’s and Camejo’s roles until the new executives obtain Brazilian work visas.
