The US International Trade Commission (US ITC) has announced that it has initiated antidumping and countervailing duty investigations regarding circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe imports from Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, the UAE and Vietnam.

The US ITC should issue its preliminary decision by December 14 this year on whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the US is materially injured or threatened with material injury.

The investigations were launched upon the complaint by domestic pipe producers Bull Moose Tube Company, EXLTUBE, Wheatland Tube Company, a division of JMC Steel Group, and Western Tube and Conduit.

The products subject to duty investigations currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7306.19.10, 7306.19.51, 7306.30.10, 7306.30.50, 7306.50.10, and 7306.50.50.
