US wire rod exports up 60.6 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of wire rod totaled 3,939 mt in November 2019, up 60.6 percent from October and up 1.6 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, wire rod exports totaled $3.5 million in November, compared to $2.4 million in the previous month and $3.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most wire rod to Canada in November with 2,600 mt, compared to 1,988 mt in October and 2,480 mt in November 2018. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,048 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US wire rod exports in November.
