According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 95,778 mt in November last year, up 30.7 percent from October and up 25.9 percent year on year. By value, OCTG imports totaled $138.2 million in November, compared to $102.1 million in October and $134.9 million in the same month in 2023.
The US imported the most OCTG from South Korea in November with 22,268 mt, compared to 9,573 mt in October and 22,195 mt in November 2023. Other top sources of imported OCTG in November include Taiwan with 14,987 mt, Canada with 12,945 mt, Japan with 10,851 mt, and Austria with 8,365 mt.
