Chinese seamless pipe prices have showed a stable trend with small increases during the past week. Overall trading activity has been low. Low production volumes as well as low market inventory continue to support seamless pipe prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may mostly remain stable with possible declines due to end of year period.
Chinese welded pipe prices have also remained stable during past week. Overall trading activity has been weak. Certain welded pipe traders choose to reduce their quoted prices slightly in order to close more deals. But most traders choose to hold their quoted prices stable thanks to the support from cost side. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may move sideways with slight downticks.
