US OCTG exports down 17.2 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 15,771 mt in June 2019, down 17.2 percent from May and down 44.5 percent from June 2018 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $28.9 million in June, compared to $42.9 million in the previous month and $56.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in June with 10,889 mt, compared to 9,608 mt in May and 19,354 mt in June 2018. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,153 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in June.
