US President Donald Trump has said that the US will impose further tariffs on Chinese goods as of September 1 this year.

Following another round of trade talks between the US and China, Trump tweeted that the Chinese side wanted to renegotiate the deal, so he has decided to impose a 10 percent tariff on $300 billion worth of imports as of September 1, adding that this does not include the $250 billion worth of imports which are already subject to a 25 percent duty.

The products to be hit by new duties will include consumer goods from mobile phones and laptop computers to footwear.
