Retaliatory tariffs on $16 billion worth of US goods to China come into force

China’s Ministry of Commerce has announced that China imposed 25 percent retaliatory tariffs on $16 billion US goods in response to imposition of 25 percent tariffs by the US on another $16 billion Chinese imports.

The media report said that the US government will request World Trade Organization (WTO) consultations with China concerning the additional retaliatory tariffs that the China recently introduced on US goods.
