The US Department of Commerce published its final determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of circular welded carbon quality steel line pipe from China in Monday's edition of the Federal Register.
Effective Monday, November 24, 2008, the following CVD margins will apply to imports of line pipe from China:
-Liaoning Northern Steel Pipe Co. Ltd: 40.05 percent
-Huludao Seven-Star Steel Pipe Group Co. Ltd; Huludao Steel Pipe Industrial Co. Ltd; and Huludao Bohai Oil Pipe Industrial Co. Ltd: 35.63 percent
-All other Chinese producers and exporters: 37.84 percent
The DOC's final dumping determination in regard to the corresponding antidumping investigation of line pipe from China is expected by March 20, 2009.
