The US Department of Commerce (DOC) published the preliminary results of an antidumping duty administrative review on certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products imported from Japan. Accordingly, the DOC decided to rescind the review with respect to Kawasaki Steel Corporation since the producer did not ship the subject merchandise to the US during period review, which is August 1, 2004, through July 31, 2005. On the other hand, the DOC found that sales of subject merchandise sold by Nippon Steel Corporation have been made at less than normal value. The preliminary dumping margin determined for Nippon Steel is 36.41 percent. The dumping deposit rate for Nippon is 2.47%, whereas the rate for all other Japanese producers is 36.41%.
