In its final results of the antidumping (AD) review on stainless steel beams imported from South Korea (published on the Federal Register on January 4), the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has decided to make no change to the relevant preliminary results which it issued last September. Upon the request of the petitioners, the Committee for Fair Beam Imports, Nucor Corp, Nucor-Yamato Co., Steel Dynamics Inc and TXI-Chaparral Steel Co., and of the respondents, INI Steel and Dongkuk Steel Mill Co Ltd (DSM), the US DOC, on September 28, 2005, initiated an antidumping administrative review on structural steel beams imported from South Korea. The review covered the period August 1, 2004, through July 31, 2005. In the preliminary results dated September 7, 2006, the Department determined that during the period of review, INI Steel made sales of the subject merchandise at less than the normal value. On the other hand, the DOC decided that DSM did not make sales of the subject merchandise at less than the normal value. Accordingly, the following weighted-average dumping margins were found to be existing for the period August 1, 2004, through July 31, 2005:
Producer Margin INI Steel.................................1.91 percent DSM.......................................0.00 percentUpon receiving no comments on these preliminary results, the DOC has decided not to make any changes in the preliminary results. Accordingly, the final results of this review do not differ from the preliminary results.
