On September 4, 2007, the DOC initiated sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on wire rod from the companies above. On the basis of the notices of intent to participate and adequate substantive responses filed on behalf of domestic interested parties and inadequate responses from respondent interested parties, the DOC conducted expedited (120-day) sunset reviews of these orders. The DOC's latest decision reflects the result of these sunset reviews.
Moreover, on the same day, the DOC also initiated a sunset review of the countervailing duty order on the same product imported from Brazil. The DOC has also determined that revocation of this order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of a countervailable subsidy at the levels indicated below:
Exporters | Net subsidy rate |
Belgo Mineira | 6.74 percent |
Gerdau S.A. | 2.76 percent |
All Others | 5.64 percent |
