US DOC begins review of pressure pipe and steel cylinders

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the initiation of administrative reviews of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders with a June anniversary date.  The DOC initiated the following administrative reviews of AD orders involving steel products:

(1)  Carbon and Alloy Seamless Standard, Line and Pressure Pipe (Over 4 ½ Inches) from  Japan (A-588-850) - JFE Steel Corporation; Nippon Steel Corporation; NKK Tubes; and Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd.

(2)  High Pressure Steel Cylinders from China (A-570-977) - Beijing Tianhai Industry Co., Ltd.

The period of review for pipe from Japan is June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013, and the period of review for steel cylinders from China is December 15, 2011 through May 31, 2013.

The DOC also initiated the following administrative review of a CVD order involving steel products:

(1)  High Pressure Steel Cylinders from China (C-570-978) - Beijing Tianhai Industry Co., Ltd.
The period of review is October 18, 2011 through December 31, 2012.
