According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 45,566 mt in March 2018, up 1.8 percent from February but down 5.1 percent from March 2017 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $50.5 million in March, compared to $48.5 million in the previous month and $51.6 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in March with 28,576 mt, compared to 28,638 mt in February and 26,430 mt in March 2017. Other top destinations included Canada, with 15,676 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in March.
