Ukrainian steel product exports fall in Feb from Jan levels

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-February period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 7.9 percent compared to the same period of last year to 3.596 million mt. In February alone, Ukraine's steel product exports decreased by 26.4 percent compared to January, dropping to 1.525 million mt.

In the first two months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 27.8 percent increase year on year in its steel product imports to 259,900 mt. In February alone, Ukraine's steel product imports increased by 1.9 percent compared to January, rising to 131,200 mt.
