The Ukrainian parliament (Rada) has reapproved a bill to increase the export duty on steel scrap from €42/mt to €58/mt. After the Ukrainian president approves the bill, the duty will be applied for a period of two years until 2021. This will be the third increase in scrap export duty in the last four years.

In early March, the Ukrainian parliament had approved the bill to increase the export duty on scrap, though it revoked it in the following days.
