According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in September this year Ukraine's crude steel production will rise by 3.4 percent compared to July 2012 to 2.640 million mt.
According to Metallurgprom's forecast, pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.3 million mt in September, up 0.8 percent compared to July, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to be 2.370 million mt, up 2.3 percent compared to July.
In August, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.68 million mt of crude steel, 2.3 million mt of pig iron and 2.45 million mt of rolled steel.
