Ukrainian coal output rises by almost 10 percent in Q1

In March this year, Ukraine's coal mining output totaled 3,282,900 mt, 7.8 percent higher than the targeted 3,045,900 mt. The March output figure was 300,000 mt higher compared to March 2010 and 252,000 mt higher than the figure for February this year.

In the January-March period of the current year, Ukrainian coal output reached 9,388,400 mt, 6.4 percent higher than the target and marking an increase of 9.7 percent year on year.
