Ukraine’s long steel exports down by 22.7 percent in Sept from Aug levels

In September this year, Ukraine's long steel product exports decreased by 22.7 percent compared to August and by 6.5 percent compared to September 2009, to 355,240 mt, valued at about $191.1 million, down 29 percent month on month.

Ukraine's main long steel export destinations in September were Iraq (70,750 mt), Russia (58,740 mt), Romania (26,830 mt), Jordan (25,330 mt), Azerbaijan (18,820 mt), Iran (18,590 mt), Georgia (12,750 mt), and Belarus (10,560 mt).

In January-September this year, Ukraine's long steel exports increased by 14.8 percent year on year to about 4.05 million mt, valued at $2.177 billion.
