Ukraine’s flat steel imports rise in Jan-May, exports decline

In the January-May period of the current year, Ukraine registered an 18.2 percent increase year on year in its flat steel imports to 374,200 mt, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In May alone, Ukraine's flat steel imports increased by 43.3 percent compared to April, rising to 111,330 mt.

On the other hand, in the first five months of the current year, Ukraine's flat steel exports decreased by 9.7 percent year on year to 2.985 million mt. In May alone, Ukraine's flat steel exports increased by 3.3 percent compared to April, increasing to 713,550 mt.
