Ukraine not to privatize Krivorozhstal

According to the statement released from Ukraine government, the country's biggest steel producer Krivorozhstal will not be privatized and remain as a state-owned plant. The plant has 1/5 share in Ukraine market. Located in Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine, the plant increased its finished products capacity by 3.9% to 5.2 million tons and production of crude steel by 3.1% to 5.9 million tons in the first ten months of 2003, when compared with the figures of the corresponding period of 2002.
