Ukraine issues production results for Jan-Sept

In the first nine months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 3.5 percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 20.411 million mt, a 5.6 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 24.592 million mt and a 0.75 percent decline in its pig iron production to 21.358 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.
 
The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by 1.7 percent year on year to 14.405 million mt.
 
In the January-September period this year, Ukraine produced 49.640 million mt of iron ore concentrate and 17.106 million mt of iron ore pellets - up 1.3 percent and five percent respectively compared to the same period last year.
 
In September alone, Ukraine produced  2.054 million mt of finished steel products - down 4.2 percent, 2.582 million mt of crude steel - down 1.6 percent, and 1.454 million mt of metallurgical coke - down 7.5 percent, all on month-on-month basis.
