Turkish motor vehicle output almost stable in January

In January this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 109,783 units, decreasing by 0.1 percent year on year and down 19.1 percent month on month, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD).

In January, passenger car output amounted to 75,396 units, rising by 5.6 percent, while commercial vehicle output totaled 34,387 units, down 10.6 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry was 66.8 percent in January.
