Turkish metal manufacturing capacity usage rises in Dec

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in December this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 79.3 percent, rising 3.6 percentage points compared to the previous month and up 1.4 percentage points compared to December 2011.
 
Meanwhile, in December of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, fell slightly by 0.5 percentage points year on year to 70.5 percent, down slightly from 71.2 percent recorded in November.
 
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 73.6 percent in December this year, indicating a slight decrease of 0.4 percentage points compared to November and down 1.9 percent from 75.5 percent recorded in December 2011.
