Turkish domestic home appliance sales up 8 percent in September

Domestic sales in Turkey's home appliance market increased by eight percent on year-on-year basis in September this year, totaling 679,587 units, according to the data released by the Turkish Home Appliance Industrialists Association (BESD). Meanwhile, domestic home appliance sales almost remained stable in September compared to August.
 
According to the BESD data, in September this year home appliance output in Turkey increased by 31.6 percent from August and by 0.9 percent year on year to 2,208,628 units. In September, Turkey's home appliance exports were down 26.3 percent compared to the previous month and decreased by 1.36 percent from September 2012, amounting to 1,594,327 units, while Turkey's domestic appliance imports in September totaled 112,630 units, rising two times compared to August and down 32.7 percent compared to the same month of 2012.
