Turkish home appliance sales down 7.3 percent in Nov from Oct

Domestic sales in Turkey's home appliance market increased slightly by 0.3 percent on year-on-year basis in November this year, totaling 527,830 units, according to the data released by the Turkish Home Appliance Industrialists Association (BESD). The country's home appliance sales in November decreased 7.3 percent compared to October this year.

According to the BESD's data, in November home appliance output in Turkey increased by 20.2 percent year on year to 2,005,191 units, with a month-on-month increase of seven percent. In the month in question, Turkey's home appliance exports remained almost stable with a slight increase of 0.6 percent compared to October and were up 19.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, amounting to 1,528,977 units, while Turkey's domestic appliance imports in November this year totaled 81,868 units, rising 8.1 percent compared to October this year and up 23.2 percent over the same month of 2011.
