Domestic sales in
Turkey's home appliance market decreased 3.4 percent on year-on-year basis in October this year, totaling 569,212 units, according to the data released by the Turkish Home Appliance Industrialists Association (BESD). The country's home appliance sales in September which totaled 629,260 units constituted the highest monthly volume to date in 2012, increasing by six percent compared to September 2011.
According to the BESD's data, in October home appliance output in
Turkey decreased by 4.3 percent year on year to 1,873,772 units, with a month-on-month decrease of 14.4 percent. In the month in question,
Turkey's home appliance exports remained almost stable compared to the same month of the previous year and were down six percent compared to September, amounting to 1,520,085 units, while
Turkey's domestic appliance imports in October this year totaled 75,717 units, falling one percent compared to September this year and down 10.4 percent over the same month of 2011.
