In September, the average export price of Turkish wire rod amounted to $486.46/mt, up $28.8/mt or 6.3 percent from August levels, but indicating a decrease of $661/mt or 57.61 percent from $1,148/mt in September 2008.
On the other hand, in the January-September period of the current year, Turkey's wire rod exports surged 13.94 percent year on year to 792,200 mt, totalling a value of $362.68 million, down 41.86 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
