Turkey’s steel section exports up 14.8 percent in July

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year Turkey's total steel section exports amounted to 156,968 metric tons, rising by 14.8 percent year on year and down 1.1 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $117.3 million, increasing by 9.5 percent compared to June 2011 and down 1.5 percent month on month.

In the first seven months of 2012, Turkey's steel section exports amounted to 1.05 million mt, increasing by 8.35 percent compared to January-July 2011, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $781 million, increasing by 7.86 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
