Turkey’s steel section exports up 7.3 percent in H1

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in June this year Turkey's total steel section exports amounted to 158,782 metric tons, rising by 30.3 percent year on year and up two percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $119 million, increasing by 37.7 percent compared to June 2011 and up 4.25 percent month on month.

In the first half of 2012, Turkey's steel section exports amounted to 894,371 mt, increasing by 7.3 percent compared to January-June 2011. Turkey's steel section exports to North America rose significantly in the first half of 2012.
