Turkish wire rod exports down 1.3% in Aug from July

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August this year Turkey's total wire rod exports amounted to 75,056 metric tons, decreasing by 1.3 percent month on month but up 2.3 percent compared to August 2011.

Meanwhile, the revenue generated by Turkey's wire rod exports in August totaled $47.66 million, decreasing by 2.95 percent compared to the previous month and down 9.7 percent year on year.

On the other hand, in the first eight months of 2012 Turkey's wire rod exports stood at 762,332 metric tons, down 3.9 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $496.2 million, decreasing by 7.7 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
