Turkey's coking coal imports up 115.7 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 115.7 percent year on year to 542,189 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports increased to $110 million, from $22.9 million in the corresponding month of the previous year.


 
In the given month, Turkey's coking coal imports from Australia amounted to 168,361 mt, while coking coal imports from the US totaled 158,890 mt.
