In February this year, Turkey's coking coal imports decreased by 8.9 percent year on year to 482,531 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports decreased by 12.6 percent to $97.6 million year on year.
In the January-February period of this year, Turkey's coking coal imports decreased by 19.1 percent to 866,536 mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $163.22 million, down 26.4 percent, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from Australia amounted to 414,264 mt, while coking coal imports from Colombia totaled 194,585 mt.
