Turkish pipe producer Borusan Mannesmann will supply 70 percent of the electricity needs of all its plants in Turkey from renewable energy sources by the end of this year, in line with its carbon emission reduction targets, according to media reports.

The company has highlighted its steps in this direction by obtaining a Renewable Energy Certificate.

“The Turkish steel industry needs to focus on sustainability with the Green Deal process,” Nihan Alhan, Borusan Mannesmann executive board member, commented.
