Turkey's basic metal production up 5.4 percent in August

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production decreased by 1.4 percent compared to July, while the calendar adjusted index was up 5.2 percent compared to August 2013.
 
In August, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey increased by three percent month on month and increased by 5.4 percent compared to August 2013.
 
The index for the production of fabricated metal products in August decreased by 10.2 percent month on month but was up by 6.5 year on year.
