Two more Turkish mills out of ship scrap market

As of today, May 11, Turkish mills Ozkan Demir Celik and Cebitas have also announced that they have stopped accepting ship scrap. Habas made a similar announcement yesterday. Meanwhile, the two producers that are still in the market have reduced their ship scrap procurement prices by $35-55/mt, with the general price range now at $475-495/mt. The sharp decrease recorded in the deep sea segment has contributed to the decrease in the ship scrap market, while Habas is reported to have stopped all domestic scrap purchases. 

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
