Tonghua Steel achieves iron ore output target for Q1

Jilin Province-based Chinese steelmaker Tonghua Iron and Steel Company (Tonghua Steel), a subsidiary of Shougang Steel Group, has stated that in the first quarter of the current year its total production of iron ore reached 103,000 mt, successfully meeting the output target for the given quarter.

Meanwhile, Tonghua Steel's production of pig iron came in the first quarter came to 90,790 mt, exceeding the target for the period by 3.8 percent. In addition, its output of agglomerate for the given quarter totaled 187,500 mt, exceeding the quarterly target by 11.4 percent.
