The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced its plans to launch production of cold-resistant high collapse seamless pipes, which are mainly used for the construction of jack-up rigs in the arctic climate.

TMK is the first of the Russian pipe producers to start producing premium seamless pipes used in floating drilling rigs designed for Gazprom's arctic shelf development projects.

Currently, TMK's premium pipes are used in the construction of several projects, such as the Arcticheskaya jack-up rig, which is designed for operation in the Barents Sea.

Commenting on the issue, TMK CEO Mr. Konstantin Semerikov stated, "Being interested in promoting its long-term partnership with Gazprom, TMK offers unique high-tech products and intends to develop innovation and technological elements of its pipe business to provide solutions to the most challenging tasks related to the development of the artic continental shelf fields".
