TMK IPSCO announced today that it will permanently lay off six workers at its Wilder, Kentucky pipe mill next month. The positions include a project engineer, an industrial engineer and a cost analyst, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notices.

In January, the company announced plans to lay off 126 employees on a temporary basis, while in July 2015 the company issued WARN notices to 320 workers. No explanation was given for the latest round of layoffs, although the company has blamed poor market conditions for energy pipe in previous announcements.

The company produces high-frequency electric resistant welding (ERW) process steel pipes used in oil and gas extraction and transmission, and reported annual revenues of $1.7 billion in 2014.
