TISCO raises steel production

According to the recent market reports, Indian steel producer Tata Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (TISCO) increased its finished steel production by 2% in the first nine months of 2004-05, despite a partial shutdown of a key furnace. The company produced 3.13 million tons of saleable steel in April-December period against 3.07 million tons produced in the same period of last year. TISCO aims to increase its annual steel production capacity to 15 million tons by 2010.
